Job Purpose : - Understand and apply all established policies and other criteria in support of the risk governance framework
- Manage and operate operational risk management qualitative and quantitative processes and templates/ tools to achieve defined objectives to provide value to the business including, key risk indicators, operational loss/incident assessment, residual risk, and operational risk dashboards
- Collaborate with business units in analysis and recommendations on business operational risk profiles and trends, enabling the business to prioritize and identify opportunities to minimize risk while maximizing operational efficiencies in a sustainable manner within risk appetite boundaries
- Gather, prepare and analyze relevant metrics and data on operational risk for identification of inherent risk, controls & safeguards, and residual risks for identified business areas.
- Performs risk analysis on key business processes and related dependencies and provides independent oversight of security and operational risk posture and present to senior business management for review and consideration
- Coordinates with company leadership, Enterprise Risk Committee, and Audit/Risk Committee of the Board reporting
- Works closely with business to identify and prioritize process improvements in a strategic fashion.
Key Responsibilities : Overall responsibility for the Risk and Control function for Finance shared services.
Designing and implementing the control framework
Ensuring controls are working
Reporting to ICC, management and HO on the controls
Candidate Requirements for the role:
Education Background: B.E./ M.B.A./ with COBIT Certified
#years of experience: 10- 15 years of post-qualification experience, in a control function in Banking / Financial services. Experience in Operations Risk, Internal audit would be desirable.
Technical knowledge & Skills: Experience in working with executive and senior management
Strong relationship building skills; adept at working collaboratively to develop and execute coordination plans with a variety of input areas and target audiences
Strong, effective oral and written communication
Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to work pro-actively with all levels of management and staff
Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
Ability to identify and measure the risks throughout a business process, workflow, combined with associated technology including applications and/or systems
Proven skills in managing multiple concurrent activities with shifting priorities and occasional tight deadlines
Behavioural Skills / Competencies: Soft skills: Ability to work with colleagues within and outside India across different cultures. Excellent Communication Skills and having the ability to communicate with different staff levels.
